IPSA Welcomes Two New Team Members

IPSA is pleased to welcome Andrea Moore, World Congress and Event Assistant, and Eduardo Monteiro, Administrative Assistant, to its Secretariat in Montréal, Canada. Andrea Moore will support the World Congress team and assist in organizing IPSA’s academic events. Eduardo Monteiro will provide essential support for the Secretariat’s daily operations and contribute to special projects arising from IPSA’s Strategic Plan for 2023–2027.
Andrea Moore, born and raised in Montréal, is a Project Manager and Client Success Professional with a background in Human Relations from Concordia University. She is passionate about team development and bringing structure and creativity together to deliver meaningful results.
Andrea thrives on collaboration—building strong relationships, simplifying complex projects, and ensuring every client feels supported and valued. Over the years, she has worked with a range of organizations on the supplier side of registration as well as housing technology. She has extensive experience in managing customer support, virtual production, and project management. Known for her thoughtful communication and proactive approach, Andrea takes pride in turning ideas into well-executed outcomes that make a lasting impact. She looks forward to learning and building with IPSA.
Eduardo Monteiro was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and grew up in a culturally vibrant environment that nurtured his curiosity for politics, languages, and global affairs. After completing his bachelor's degree in international relations at IUPERJ and his master's at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), he is currently a PhD candidate in political science at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
Throughout his career, Eduardo has combined academic research, teaching, and international collaboration. He has served as a Country Expert for the V-Dem project, a data entry volunteer for the Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker, and has presented his work at conferences across Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Brazil. He has also been active in academic community-building, serving as a mentor and coordinator for the Brazilian Student Association and as personne-ressource at the Université de Sherbrooke.
