IPSA Regional Conference in Poland: Resilience of Democracy in a Polarized World

IPSA returns to Poland with a regional conference titled Resilience of Democracy in a Polarized World: Populism, Autocratization and Global Challenges, following the successful IPSA World Congress held in Poznań in 2016. The conference will be held from 14 to 16 October 2026 in Wrocław, in collaboration with the Polish Political Science Association and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław. The call for proposals will be open from 1 April to 13 May 2026.
We invite paper and panel proposals that examine democratic resilience, erosion, and transformation from theoretical, empirical, and comparative perspectives. Contributions addressing any region or time period are welcome, including both single-case studies and cross-national analyses, within the following thematic areas (tracks):
- Threats and Erosions;
- Information, Media, and Technology;
- Citizenship, Participation, and Identity;
- Institutional and Policy Innovations;
- Global and Environmental Challenges.
