We are glad to share with you the new Issue of the Asian Journal of Public Affairs (AJPA) hosted by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS).

Asian Journal of Public Affairs is the flagship journal of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS since 2006. It is a peer-reviewed publication featuring articles by scholars and practitioners on public affairs issues in the Greater Asia including the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region. Published on a bi-annual basis, AJPA seeks to influence public policy-making in Asia through interdisciplinary policy-relevant research. Print circulation is targeted not only to academic audiences but also to civil society and government organizations.

Since August 2014, Asian Journal of Public Affairs has reformed the editorial process, which emphasizes working with authors in a constructive manner; assembled an International Advisory Board comprised of leading scholars in public policy to oversee the progress of the journal; changed its publication style from print-dominated to publications on rolling basis first appearing on the SSRN page of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and the website of the journal. The journal is free for all on its website. Asian Journal of Public Affairs aspires to be a conduit between Asian and the world, and theory and practice.

Volume 8 Issue 1 delivers a good spread of research articles, book reviews, and commentaries on issues pertaining to Asia and the world. We hope you enjoy reading the journal. We would be glad if you could send us feedback.
