Rank to be determined based on qualifications and experience.

The search will add to our strengths in the quantitative study of Canadian Politics, ComparativePolitics, or International Relations and have a starting date of July 1, 2022. Western Political Science aims to be Canada’s top destination for graduate training in empirical research methods. The ability to teach quantitative methods at the undergraduate or graduate level would be considered an asset, as would contributing to our strengths in political behaviour.

We seek outstanding individuals with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service.  Candidates should be capable of publishing in highly respected peer-reviewed outlets, supervising graduate student research, teaching graduate and undergraduate students, and securing external research grants. All faculty members are expected to participate in administrative committees at the level of the department, faculty, and/or university, including service external to the university.
