IPSA’s new open-access book, IPSA Companion to Political Science: A Practical Introduction to the 200 Most Important Concepts (Springer, 2025), was launched at the University of Ottawa on 18 March 2026. The launch was co-organized by the Centre on Governance and the Konrad Adenauer Research Chair in Empirical Democracy Studies.
Highlighting the event were the book’s co-editors, Daniel Stockemer and Audrey Gagnon, along with contributing authors Felix Mathieu, Achim Hurrelmann, and Eric Champagne. Professor Luc Turgeon (School of Political Studies, University of Ottawa) provided commentary on the volume and its contribution to the discipline.
The event also marked the launch of a new collaboration between the Centre on Governance and the Konrad Adenauer Research Chair in Empirical Democracy Studies, thereby establishing a Democratic Governance axis co-led by Audrey Gagnon and Daniel Stockemer.
