IPSA Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of its Permanent Secretariat in Canada

IPSA is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Permanent Secretariat in Montréal, Canada, commemorating two decades of scholarly contribution and impact within the global political science community. In 2006, IPSA permanently established its Secretariat in Montréal with support from Concordia University and Montréal International. IPSA and Concordia University have since renewed their partnership five times, most recently in 2025, effectively securing IPSA's presence in Montréal until at least 2030.

To mark this milestone, IPSA will present a series of academic events in May and June 2026 with the support of the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation (KAS) Canada and in collaboration with Concordia University, the University of Ottawa, the Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA), and the Société québécoise de science politique (SQSP). Events will be held in Montréal and Ottawa.
