Aharon Klieman in Memoriam

We are saddened to announce that the Chair of the IPSA Research Committee on Geopolitics (RC 41) Aharon Klieman, Professor Emeritus of the Tel Aviv University, passed away. On behalf of the global political science community, our condolences go to his family and friends.

Prof. Klieman will be fondly remembered for his wisdom, warmth, and kindliness in his encounters with senior and junior scholars alike. He was an energetic and dedicated leader of the Committee from 2009 to 2021 and worked tirelessly for its success and for maintaining an active research agenda. Prof. Klieman was a prominent international relations scholar and a leading expert on Israeli foreign policy. He will be greatly missed.
