Leuphana University of Lüneburg (foundation under public law), Institute of Political Science, Professorship in Comparative Politics (Prof. Dr. Sarah Engler), has a vacancy for a full-time

Research Associate (m/f/d) PostDoc
(salary group EG 13 TV-L)

for a limited period of 2 years at the earliest possible date.

Your tasks:

  • The pursuit of an own research agenda in the field of comparative politics, preferably in the research area of the professorship (e.g. party competition, representation, voting behavior, democracy and democratic backsliding, post-communist democracies, etc.)
  • Collaboration in research activities and the preparation of grant applications
  • Teaching obligation of 1 SWS per semester (one course / year)

Your profile:

  • Completed academic university degree in the field of Political Science (or a similar field) (Master or equivalent)
  • Doctoral degree in the field of Political Science
  • Proven experience in quantitative methods of data analysis
  • Proven experience (or first publications) in comparative politics
  • Dedication, ability to work in a team, and ability to work independently
  • Very good command of English
