IPSA Research Committee 33 and Research Committee 49 invite you to the Roundtable on Paulo Ravecca’s The Politics of Political Science that will be held at the 2021 IPSA World Congress on 11 July at 13:30 UTC.
The Politics of Political Science: Re-Writing Latin American Experiences explores the relationship between knowledge, power and politics from a critical theory perspective. The theoretical reflection is empirically grounded on our discipline’s engagements with democratic and authoritarian politics in the Americas. Participants of this roundtable will critically engage with aspects of the book, using them as a platform to develop their own views around the ethical and political role of political science in these troubling and uncertain times.
