The deadline for submissions to the 20th Jan Tinbergen European Peace Science Conference, the annual meeting of NEPS, has been extended to Monday, 1 March 2021.

We are closely monitoring the updates regarding the COVID-19 related health risks and travel restrictions. We are hoping to have a regular, in-person conference. We will be announcing the format of the conference on 1 February 2021 to allow our members enough time to make informed decisions.

The Conference will take place at King's College, London, (co-organised with University of Essex and Rice University), on 29 June - 1 July 2021.

Hosts of the conference will be Gabriel Leon, Kristian Gleditsch, Clifton Morgan, Sara Polo and Elisa Cavatorta.

The NEPS Lecture will be given by Scott Gates, PRIO and University of Oslo.

Abstracts (max. 300 words) with a tentative title must be submitted via the NEPS website by 31st January 2021.

The Jan Tinbergen European Peace Science Conference hosts presentations that address any issue relating to peace and security broadly defined. As ever, we strive for a multi-disciplinary program comprising contributions with a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches, including strictly theoretical work, game theory and formal modeling, statistical and econometric analysis, qualitative studies, and experiments. Programs and lists of participants of previous editions are available below.

Please note that Ph.D. students are eligible for the Stuart A. Bremer Award. Eligible papers cannot be co-authored with a senior researcher. The winner is rewarded with a bursary to attend the conference of the Peace Science Society (International).

COVID-19 contingency: Please note that we are closely monitoring the updates regarding the COVID-19 related health risks and travel restrictions. We are hoping to have a regular, in-person conference. However, we will make the necessary adjustments to the conference organization in a timely manner and shift to an online version if need be. We will, of course, keep you informed.
