International Scientific Conference: Migration Movements in the Modern World

The Migration Movements in the Modern World Conference will be held from 16-17 April 2026 in Lublin, Poland. The objective of the conference is to present research findings and to promote interdisciplinary discussion on issues related to contemporary migration movements.
Proposed areas of interest include:
- Theoretical and methodological issues of migration movements (e.g. migration movement, migration, emigration, immigration, re-emigration, resettlement, refugee status, incoming population).
- Historical, social, cultural, religious, ethical, political, economic, and international determinants of migration movements.
- Legal aspects of migration movements (national, European, and international public law).
- Assumptions and frameworks of local, national, and international migration policies.
- Models and initiatives for the integration of foreigners.
- The impact of migration movements on the functioning of the state, region, and the world.
- Attitudes of citizens, social, religious and political organisations, and social and political movements towards migration.
- The portrayal of migration and migrants in the media.
- Analysis of selected contemporary migration movements.
The conference organisers would like to invite scholars conducting research in the broadly understood field of migration studies to participate in the conference proceedings. The event will also feature a student and doctoral panel.
