Event Details

The Organising Committee in conjunction with the Australian Political Studies Association (APSA) are pleased to invite abstract submissions for the APSA Annual Conference 2020, which will be held at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia from the 21st to 23rd September 2020 (PhD workshop to be held on 20th September 2020).

The theme of APSA 2020 is ‘Politics in the Age of Disruption and Realignment’. The theme recognises the rapidly changing nature of contemporary politics, and invites an explicit focus on the causes, manifestations and consequences of the new political, technological and ideological constellations of our time. The conference will feature two distinguished keynote speakers: Professor Adrian Pabst (University of Kent) and Professor Emeritus Linda Weiss (University of Sydney).

Submissions relating to political studies generally, and especially addressing the theme, are encouraged and can be made via the Abstract Submission Portal. We welcome innovative proposals for panels, roundtables and of course, submission from individual presenters.

All abstracts must follow the instructions listed below and be submitted online by midnight AEST Monday 3 May 2020, 11:59pm AEST. Please note that the closing date for abstract submission will not be extended and abstracts will only be accepted if the presenting author has registered and paid by the presenter registration deadline of Friday 10 July 2020.
