Our proposal has been accepted by the Scientific Committee of the 2026 Congress of the Société québécoise de science politique (SQSP), to be held at the Université de Montréal from 5 to 7 May 2026.
We are therefore issuing a call for panelists to finalize the composition of our panel.
We welcome proposals addressing themes such as:
- Structural tensions within contemporary democracies;
- Processes of autocratization and polarization;
- Democratic innovations and citizen engagement;
- Comparative perspectives (Global North/South, Africa, Americas, Europe, etc.);
- Emerging theoretical approaches to democratic crises.
Submission deadline: 2 February 2026.
Proposals should include:
- Title of the contribution;
- Abstract (150–200 words);
- Institutional affiliation;
- Full contact information.
