2025 Italian Political Science Association Conference

The Annual Conference of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP) will be held in Naples from 4-6 September 2025. The proposal for a paper must be sent to the panel chairs exclusively through the MySISP menu by 25 May 2025.

To submit your proposal: 

1. Log in to MySISP;

2. Click on Conference 2024 in the MySISP area;

3. Click on PROPOSE A PAPER and complete the form with the following information:

• Section and Panel in which you want to propose the paper. To view the available panels, click here;
• Title of the paper;
• Your full name, your institution, your e-mail address and of any co-author;
• Text: No more than 6,000 characters (including spaces) of the abstract that will be published on the SISP website if the proposal is accepted.

The system will send an e-mail notification to the author(s) to confirm the receipt of the paper proposal.

It should also be noted that the selection process for the proposed papers will be managed autonomously and freely by the panel Chairs. However, it is necessary to ensure fair gender representation and generational dialogue during the sessions.

Given the large number of panel proposals received, there are currently no plans to split panels into two sessions, except in exceptional cases authorized by SISP. As in the last edition of the Conference, however, Panel Chairs may accept 1 or 2 additional papers as “tabled papers”, which means papers that will NOT be orally presented in a panel due to time constraints, but will be shared with other participants and discussed in the final Q&A session of the panel.
