Of late Gen Z movements swept Global South, from Bangladesh to Sri Lanka to Nepal to India. Gen Z as counterpublics has occupied its position and its visual language is notable. Its visual language touches the cord of the youth with its memes, mimicry, casual expression, reel-making, hip-hop, visual Dadaism etc. Visual language of Gen Z movements is neither neologism, nor in conventional mode or to be precise unthinkable to challenge authority with song and dance and unassuming fearless attitude. The panel intends to examine, how Gen Z movements have created its space as counterpublics with both its cool and daring visual attitude and expression. The panel wants to capture the appeal of the visual language of Gen Z, where in some countries, they are able to change the governments, whereas in some countries, govt. bends by its pressure. The panel intends to examines, whether it is sheer number of Gen Z or something else? Whether their typical visual language functions as the unifying force of the youth or something else? If the visual language is altogether different, then what are the threads between people and Gen Z, is it their visual language?
