Policy Advice under conditions of growing political uncertainty

Under which conditions is expert knowledge requested, produced and used in policy-making? While these long-standing questions are usually answered in a context-specific setting, they get a new spin under conditions of increasing uncertainty in the political environment. Shifts in the rule-based global order, violent conflicts, changing trade pattens as well as inner-societal polarisation increase political uncertainty. The panel invites papers that examine policy advice under these conditions and whether political uncertainty.
