Digital technologies are changing political communication, state administration, surveillance, and electoral competition. This panel invites research on how artificial intelligence, social media, data systems, and online platforms affect democratic governance in Asia. Contributions may examine disinformation, political manipulation, digital campaigning, surveillance, platform power, regulation, and civic participation. Papers may also consider how institutions can respond to technological change while protecting rights, public trust, and meaningful political debate.
