With COVID-19 sweeping around the world, undoubtedly you are wondering whether our Conference, Food Futures in the Anthropocene, will be proceeding at the University of Tasmania, Launceston, from 8-10 November 2020. At present, we are confident that our Conference will be able to proceed provided interstate flights in Australia resume as currently being discussed.

As you might know, the deadline for Abstract submission of July 15 is now fast approaching. However, we are living through unprecedented challenging times and we do understand the constraints many of you are facing. If you need some extra time in putting your abstract together, or have further queries or require assistance, please reach out to us at foodfuturesanthropocene@utas.edu.au

We encourage you submit an abstract and assure you we will fully understand if you subsequently need to cancel due to further lockdowns, lack of funding, ongoing uncertainty or any other reason.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have submitted abstracts to date. As per the schedule outlined below, we will soon start the process of reviewing abstract submissions and notifications of acceptance. Thank you very much for your patience. We sincerely hope that we will be able to meet in Launceston in November and that you all stay safe and healthy in the meantime.
