Description

Due to the universalization of administrative states, the development of public administration to understand state operation and management phenomena is a global phenomenon. Accordingly, public administration and political science societies, which are communities of public administration scholars and political scientists who study and educate public administration, are active in almost all countries.
Under the leadership of the Korean Association of Public Administration and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ROK, representatives of about 50 societies, including the United States, EGPA (European Administrative Association), and EROPA (East Asian Administrative Association), met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs International Conference Hall, Seoul, on September 2023l and agreed to establish and operate the World Conference of Public Administration Representatives.
Accordingly, representatives of each country and regional association signed an agreement, decided to hold an international academic conference every three years, and research and spread topics of common interest. The first topic was selected as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Climate Change (CC), and it was decided to jointly research this research for the next two years and hold a conference in 2026 to share and disseminate it.
To this end, the first president (Korean Association of Public Administration; Lee Deokro) was centered around the president, and the president of the American Society of Public Administration (ASPA; Patria Julnes), the president of the International Association of Management (IIAS; Ra’ed M. Benshams), the secretary general of the Latin American Public Administration Union (CLAD; Francisco Lopez), the secretary general of the East Asian Public Administration Union (EROPA; Alex Brillantes Jr), and the president of the European Public Administration Union (EGPA; Jean-Michel Eymeri-Douzans) formed an executive committee, and it was decided to organize and disseminate future detailed plans and operate a conference body through this executive committee.
Through this workshop, the vision and implementation plan of GSPA decided through this executive committee will be specified at the 2026 general meeting, shared with the international public administration community, and spread and disseminated to the global community, thereby contributing to the international community.
