More information

The 10th edition of the Toronto Political Behaviour Workshop will be moving to Montreal!

The Toronto/Montreal Political Behaviour Workshop will take place on September 27 and 28, 2024, near the McGill Campus in downtown Montreal. As in past years, the workshop will feature about a dozen papers. We will spend about an hour on each paper. We welcome paper proposals on any topic dealing with political behaviour, taking a broad view in terms of methodological approach and substantive area. Poster proposals from graduate students are also welcome.

Please fill out the REGISTRATION FORM to submit a proposal. The deadline for proposals is 5 June 2024. Decisions will be communicated by 15 June.

The workshop is jointly hosted by the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship (CSDC), the Department of Political Science at McGill University, and the Consortium for Electoral Democracy in collaboration with the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto, and the Department of Politics at Toronto Metropolitan University.

About the Workshop

Peter Loewen and Daniel Rubenson founded the annual Toronto Political Behaviour Workshop in 2013, to bring together social scientists working on political behaviour, political economy and related topics. The idea is to provide a forum for cutting edge work to be discussed in more detail than the normal conference format allows. Participants spend about an hour on each paper, and try to provide lots of opportunity to discuss and socialize outside of paper sessions. There is also a well-attended poster session.
