John Ishiyama Delivers Keynote Address at the National Autonomous University of Mexico

IPSA Executive Committee member and former APSA President John Ishiyama will deliver a keynote address at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) on 30 October 2025. His lecture, titled “Whither Political Science in an Uncertain World? Challenges, Trends, and Opportunities,” will discuss the importance of political science education in addressing the challenges to democracy and how educators can better prepare students to navigate the revolutionary changes in the information environment brought about by artificial intelligence.

The keynote will be followed by a Q&A session and an open discussion with UNAM faculty members and graduate students. In addition to the keynote, Prof. Ishiyama will deliver another lecture to undergraduate political science students on 31 October.
