IPSA Participates in the 2026 ISA Annual Convention in Columbus

IPSA was present at the International Studies Association (ISA) 2026 Annual Convention in Columbus, USA. The 67th edition of the convention took place from 22 to 25 March 2026 under the theme Back to the Fundamentals: Rethinking Knowledges, Practices, and Imaginaries of the World.

IPSA was represented at the #ISA2026 by Executive Committee member John Ishiyama and Eduardo da Nóbrega Monteiro from the Secretariat. Prof. Ishiyama participated in the panel Understanding the Dynamics of Violence and Control during Civil War and presented his paper titled Are Some Rebel Party Leaders More Likely to Renounce Violence than Others?. Eduardo da Nóbrega Monteiro took part as a speaker in the roundtable Populist Global Governance

IPSA held a booth in the exhibition hall as ISA delegates came to gather information about the 2027 IPSA World Congress in Rome, the 2026 IPSA Regional Conference in Wrocław, as well as IPSA’s broader activities and publications. Visitors enjoyed a 25% discount on IPSA membership and received promotional materials.
