Publication date: Wed, 07 Oct 2026

The first IPSA-PPSA Summer School, Transforming Politics and Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, was held from 14-19 September 2026 in Poznań and Warsaw, Poland.

Organized jointly by IPSA, the Polish Political Science Association (PPSA), and Adam Mickiewicz University, the Summer School brought together 17 participants for an intensive programme of lectures, methodological workshops, research consultations, and academic discussions.

A distinguished team of international and Polish scholars explored key challenges related to digital democracy, political communication, new media, artificial intelligence, and contemporary research methodologies. Participants also had the opportunity to attend thematic panels of the 5th Polish Congress of European Studies and take part in a study visit to Warsaw, including the Polish Parliament and the Laboratory of Media Studies at the University of Warsaw.

Beyond academic training, the Summer School provided a valuable platform for international networking, research collaboration, and the exchange of ideas between early-career researchers and established scholars.

We warmly thank all participants, lecturers, and organizing partners for making this first edition such a rewarding experience.
