The Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, invites applications for an open rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) position in Political Theory, with specialization in contemporary political theory. Candidates must demonstrate an active research agenda and depending on seniority, a strong record of publication. They are also expected to offer high-quality teaching and training in political theory and introductory level political science at undergraduate and graduate levels.
The starting date is planned to be Spring or Fall of 2027. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Regular teaching load is two courses per semester. Junior scholars may be eligible for reduced teaching load in their early semesters in the department.
Bilkent University was founded in 1984. It has since been a leading research institution in Turkey. The medium of instruction is English.
