Japan's Foreign Policy and Relations with Canada

Canada and Japan enjoy a strong and multifaceted relationship covering geopolitics, innovation, and trade. Since the 2010 Canada-Japan Joint Declaration on Political, Peace and Security Cooperation, the two countries have deepened their strategic partnership in foreign affairs and defence, and work together to promote the rules-based international order. Japan, a frontline democracy, is an integral actors of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy but feels threatened Russia, China, and North Korea.

Join us for an intimate discussion on the Canada-Japan relationship with Deputy Head of Mission, Minister FURUYA Tokuro.

The event will be under Chatham Rules and registration is mandatory.
