The ISA-Northeast is pleased to announce that the 2024 Annual Conference, “Sites of Global Politics: Past, Present, and Future” will be held in-person on November 8-9, 2024, at the Hilton Harbor Inn in Baltimore, MD, with a limited virtual day on November 4, 2024. The Virtual Day will feature live, online panels and is designed to provide greater accessibility to scholars facing economic or other difficulties that may prevent attendance at the in-person conference.

We invite proposals for papers, panels, and roundtables on any subjects related to international studies, broadly defined.  Please find the Call for Proposals here. The deadline for proposal submissions is Friday, June 21, 2024.

Proposals can be submitted via the ISA website. Although an ISA account is needed to access the system, you do not need to be a member of the International Studies Association to submit proposals or attend the conference.

The provisional schedule features a keynote address by Vincent Pouliot (McGill University), an evening plenary panel on the conference theme, and the annual meeting of the Northeast Scholar’s Circle (featuring Minseon Ku, Dartmouth College). The calls for the Interpretive Methods workshop for graduate students and Pedagogy Workshop for junior scholars and graduate students are both now live. The deadline to apply for these workshops is July 10, 2024.

For more information, please visit our conference website. In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact the Program Chair, Elif Kalaycioglu (isane2024@isanet.org).
