This is an excellent opportunity for a Lectureship (Research and Teaching) in Quantitative Social Research.
The School of Social Sciences, History and Philosophy is looking for a Lecturer to lead our postgraduate programmes in social research. You will act as Programme Director of the MSc Social Research and associated suite of programmes, which provide training for students as part of the ESRC UBEL Doctoral Training Partnership. You will teach inter-disciplinary quantitative social research methods and co-ordinate with colleagues across the School to provide an exciting programme of study for students.
In order to be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of:
- Teaching quantitative social research methods at postgraduate level including: the use of R, RStudio and R Markdown, multiple regression and diagnostics, Generalised Linear Models, Linear mixed-effects models and other principles and techniques.
- Understanding of different teaching and learning methods
- Understanding the particular needs of part-time and adult learners.
- Carrying out innovative social research in an area relevant to our School.
Remuneration:
Lecture grade of the College's London Pay Scale which is £39,173 rising to £54,142 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
