

The Institute of Political Science at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at HeidelbergUniversity invites applications for a
Junior professorship - W1 non Tenure Track (f/m/d)
“Empirical-Analytical Participation Research”
to be appointed as soon as possible.
The appointment is limited to a maximum duration of six years. Provided that the general legal (German civil service law) and budgetary regulations are fulfilled, it is intended that the employment will have temporary civil service status.
Position Description:
The junior professor is expected to carry out empirical research in the area of participation research. The postholder will participate in the teaching program of the Institute of Political Science for bachelor and master degrees, which is offered in German and English. According to the applicable regulations for Juniorprofessors in compliance with the Teaching Obligations Ordinance (Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung) of Baden-Württemberg, the obligated teaching load is four semester hours per week before, and six semester hours per week after the evaluation. The regulations concerning evaluation can be accessed through the Human Resources Division of Heidelberg. University.
Requirements:
The professorship is a temporary qualification position. In accordance with Article 51 of the Higher Education Act (Landeshochschulgesetz) of the state Baden-ürttemberg, candidates are expected to have a completed university degree, an outstanding dissertation in a field relevant to the duties concerned, pedagogical aptitude and the proper scientific activity in the field of empirical-analytical participation research. For applicants who have held academic positions before or after their doctorate, the duration of pre- and post-doctoral employment together should not exceed six years.
