International Course III: Democratic Theory and Empirical Analysis of Latin America

The International Course III: Democratic Theory and Empirical Analysis of Latin America will be held from 31 July to 2 October 2021. The course will be presented by two prominent scholars:

Dr. Leonardo Morlino: Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the LUISS University, Rome, who has received five honorary doctorates and has been a guest professor at universities such as Oxford, Stanford, the Institute of Political Studies of Paris, among others.
Dr. Fernando Barrientos del Monte: Full-time Professor at the University of Guanajuato, Ph.D. in Political Science with a specialty in Comparative Politics. 

Contemporary concepts and theories on democracy will be analyzed and the current state of democracy in the Latin American region, as well as its challenges and perspectives, will be discussed.

The course has been acknowledged academically and is organized by the Mexican Political Science Association (AMECIP) in collaboration with the Universidad Autonoma de Guerrero (UAGRO), whose researchers have thoroughly analyzed the program, giving it an official value of nine academic credits.

This course has a cost of $ 3,0000 Mexican pesos, however, IPSA members will be given a special price of $ 2,000 Mexican pesos.
