This panel welcomes submissions on the politics of demography and demographic change in divided societies, broadly understood. Papers could include, but are not limited to: contributions to understanding the politics of counting and classification, such as through population censuses; demographic engineering; public discourse about the nature and implications of demographic change; and debates about the implications of demographic change for institutional designs such as power-sharing quotas.
