Innovations in Parliamentary Representation

Parliaments have been adjusting to changing circumstances in society, technology and the media, among others. The panel invites papers with various methodological and interdisciplinary approaches that investigate innovations in parliamentary procedures, processes and citizen engagement. They can look at innovations that have happened in the past or are currently ongoing; visions for the future are also welcome. All parliamentary functions (legislation, control, election, communication and representation) are of interest as are specific elements such as petitioning, parliamentary architecture and spaces, the use of AI. Of particular interest are the conditions for successful innovation.
