Climate change poses political challenges that cross borders and deepen existing inequalities, from extreme weather and displacement to food and water insecurity. This panel invites research on how Asian institutions and communities respond to climate-related risks. Papers may examine disaster governance, adaptation, climate policy, regional cooperation, local participation, and the distribution of costs and protections, including how climate pressures affect state legitimacy, social conflict, and human security.
