Recent developments in political psychology suggest that research into personality traits, e.g. the Big 5, or affect and emotions might contribute significantly to a better understanding of political attitudes, opinions, ideology, and political behavior in different contextual settings. In light of these promising findings that underline the complexity of human behavior, this panel welcomes papers that aim to detect personality and emotional basis of political views and behaviors. It is open to theoretical as well as empirical studies and embraces the large set of methodological approaches.
