There are several approaches to the public policy formulation process, and each has its own methodology and perspective. Likewise, policy formulation can involve few or many actors. This panel will present case studies that allow us to observe the challenges and results that are generated depending on the approach, type and number of actors involved in the formulation of public policies. This analysis will also consider the social contexts of each country.
The papers in this panel focus on political entrepreneurship in the case of the food labeling law in Israel, the role of the president in policy making in South Korea, the effects of the digital revolution on public policy making and policy making in hybrid regimes (Turkey).
