Individual Membership
IPSA Membership includes
Publications • Subscription to the International Political Science Review (IPSR) (5 per year), including access to the electronic version of IPSR (archives included) via the Sage Publications' website. • Subscription to Participation, the IPSA printed bulletin (2-3 per year).
Web and other services • The possibility to collaborate and/or work with IPSA Research Committees. • Reception of the monthly IPSA E-Newsletter. • The books you publish will be advertized in Participation and on our website. • Access to IPSA Online : the Portal of Political Science (search engine with website reviews).
Optional - International Political Science Abstracts • An optional subscription to Abstracts is offered at a reduced price to current and new members of IPSA. The subscription includes all six issues published during the calendar year between January and December.
Student and Senior Membership
Includes the aforementionned features (individual membership) at a reduce price (see below). Students need to provide a proof of age (under 30) and a copy of their student card to their application. Seniors need to provide a proof of age (65 and over).

As an IPSA member, how do I access the online version of IPSR ?
Once you have become an IPSA member you will receive an email from SAGE (the publishers of IPSR) to let you know that your free online access to IPSR has been set up. As we do not send new members list to SAGE every day this process may take up to a month, although it should be quicker in most cases. Once you have been notified that your free access has been set up, click this linkhttps://online.sagepub.com/cgi/activate/basic and follow these three steps to activate it:
- Enter your IPSA membership number (supplied in the email from SAGE – ‘IPS’ plus 2, 3 or 4 digits), choose IPSA from the ‘Societies’ list and click on Submit - Enter your email address, telephone number and fax number. Choose your username and password. - Click the ‘Send Form’ button and your account will be activated.
