About IPSR
International Political Science Review is the journal of the IPSA. The Review is committed to publishing material that makes a significant contribution to international political science. It seeks to meet the needs of political scientists throughout the world who are interested in studying political phenomena in the contemporary context of increasing international interdependance and global change.
IPSR reflects the aims and intellectual tradition the International Political Science Association: to foster the creation and dissemination of rigorous political inquiry free of subdisciplinary or other orthodoxy. It welcomes work by scholars who are focusing on currently controversial themes, shaping innovative concepts and methodologies of political analysis, and striving to reach outside the scope of a single culture.
Beginning in 2007 there will be a fifth issue (in November), devoted exclusively to review articles by leading experts in the subfields of greatest interest to the readers of IPSR. Instructions to Authors
Submissions should be made electronically via our online interface at http://services.bepress.com/ipsr . Create a "bepress log-in" and upload your manuscript in Word or rtf, making sure it is double spaced, does not exceed 10,000 words (including references and notes) and that notes, references, tables and charts are all on separate pages. Do not provide a title page or other information identifying yourself as author (your Bepress log-in tracks the manuscript as yours). The Bepress system will generate page numbers for you, convert your manuscript to pdf for peer review and instruct you regarding how to provide an abstract of 100 words and any acknowledgements. After you upload your manuscript you will receive a message confirming receipt. In due course you will receive an email from the editors giving you their final decision. If the editors request changes (before or after peer review), you may use your log-in to upload another version. Queries that cannot be answered by Bepress should be directed to the editors by email.
The author's name, title, affiliation and full contact details should be given on a separate page as articles are subjected to anonymous peer review before being accepted for publication. Submissions should normally be no longer than 10,000 words including references and notes and should be double spaced throughout.
Notes, references, tables and charts should be placed as separate pages and follow the current journal style. A 100 word abstract should be included with each submission.
Authors are given controlled access to a pdf of their article and a copy of the printed journal after publication.
