The Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Position ("Oberassistenz") in the research group of the chair of public policy held by Professor Fabrizio Gilardi:

The position will also be affiliated with the newly created Digital Democracy Lab.

Candidates should have demonstrated expertise and an active interest in computational social science, preferably with a focus on text analysis and machine learning, with a substantive focus on the implications of digital technology for politics and public policy.

The Department offers excellent research support and is committed to advancing young scholars' careers. The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to pursue his or her own  research agenda and produce scholarship with the potential for publication in top journals. Moreover, he or she will teach a year-long research seminar on a topic relevant for public policy closely linked to his or her research agenda.

A two-year commitment is requested; renewal up to six years is contingent on research productivity, teaching quality, and continued substantive fit. Language of instruction is English or German. Ph.D. should be in hand by Summer 2019 at the latest.
