| July 6 | Deadline to submit panel proposals (does not include RC, LOC, Main Theme and Special Sessions) |
| August 18 | Deadline to submit RC, LOC and Main Theme panels |
| August 31 | Accepted panels will be posted online |
| October 17 | Deadline to submit abstract/paper proposals |

January 4 | Abstract proposers are notified of final results *Please verify your junk mail folders if you have not received your notification email. You may also see the status of the abstract when you log into your account under the option "List of your abstracts". Notifications were sent out to ALL abstract authors so if you did not receive it, write to madrid2012@ipsa.org and a copy will be forwarded to you. Authors who have received notifications that their abstracts are still under review will receive a final notification on January 4, 2012. Abstracts which are currently under review will receive a notification email on January 4, 2012. |

January 12 | Deadline to submit travel grant applications (extended from December 9) |
| February 2 | Travel grant applicants are notified of final results |
| March 12 | Early Registration Deadline for paper givers, discussants and chairs who wish their names to appear in the printed program. All panel chairs "must" register by this deadline. |
| March 30 | Deadline for panel convenors and paper authors to finalize abstract descriptions online. |
| June 1 | Deadline for paper presenters to upload papers |
